Princess was a thought when I was in the checkout line at a grocery store reviewing the magazines for purchase. Because I experienced new birth and new life in Christ four years prior, I thought that it would be wonderful if there were a magazine that would provide a Christian worldview that would minister, encourage, exhort, and biblically counsel/disciple women based on the Word of God. The secular options could not provide what Christian women needed. Seeing this target market not being tapped in stores, I discussed my vision with girlfriends attending my church.
Weeks before resigning from my job as a Legal Assistant in San Antonio, I felt the Lord leading me to form Princess of the Most High King as a non-profit organization. So on September 28, 2014, I organized Princess and soon appointed one Board of Director. I started as President of the Board but asked another woman to serve in that role because I wanted to serve as Executive Director and Secretary of the Board without it being a conflict of interest. I later recommended a Treasurer who was voted in.
As a result, Princess published a mock digital magazine in December of 2014 and formed a committee to begin working on a future publication on Faith. But the baby non-profit soon experienced conflict on whether to raise funds and keep the initial mission. Also, two of the Board of Directors expressed, understandably so, that they could not maintain their full-time jobs and put in the work required to birth Princess.
So I dissolved it before we applied for 501(c)(3) status. Since current laws prevent an investing founder from retaining any control of a non-profit, and the Board can remove the founder and change the initial mission, I later organized Princess as an LLC and published The Beginning of Deliverance through it. However, the book publisher's name is being changed to Do You Know Christ because
Princess of the Most High King, Handmaiden of Christ, will one day, Lord willing, be a Biblical Therapy/Ministry center for women!
About Me
I thought I was dreaming when Jesus Christ first delivered me from eternal wrath, the slavery of sin, schizoaffective disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, drug addiction to Adderall, cigarette smoking, severe anxiety, severe depression, and more! It’s truly a miracle that my sins are forgiven and that I have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I share the gospel to help others escape the darkness and exchange their lives to follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
I have over 20 years of experience in the legal field, 15 plus as a Paralegal. I also have approximately two years of experience as a Contract Compliance Specialist and Proposal Writer for a federal contracting medical staffing company.
As a Whole Hearts Representative in the local church, I was trained to walk beside hurting people. I have also served as a Grace Representative to help answer questions for newcomers. I have also served on a prayer team for those responding to Sunday service alter calls.
I have shared my testimony and spoken to various small groups in the church about the benefits of using the Knowing God Personally portfolio tool from Multiplication Ministries for discipleship purposes. I was blessed to help lead a women’s Boundaries class with three other women. I have worked with the homeless in and outside a church setting and shelter before and after knowing Jesus Christ.
I have a Paralegal Certificate and am five classes away from obtaining a B.A.S. in Management from Wayland Baptist University. I have 18 credits in religious courses, which will later be transferred to an M.A. in Christian Ministry if I pursue that route.
I am not a State Licensed Counselor. I hold a Certificate from The Therapon Institute and am currently enrolled in a biblical counseling curriculum through The Institute for Nouthetic Studies. I do not represent ministerial affiliation, or endorsement of biblical counselors with either, as some may hold varying views in matters of theology.
